Works but has trouble plugging in charger

I mainly wanted this for use with a BT mouse and USB sticks. They seemed fine until I connected the charger. Problems then arise, e.g. B. The system goes through error recovery procedure and beeps every time it goes through error recovery, so it cannot be used when the charger is connected. can't be used with a lid on my surface but now I've decided I don't like having to take it out of the lid every time I use this hub.
