Its a thinner, almost flimsy coat but my job is half outdoors and I take a pretty good beating from elements and environment. This coat, especially considering the cost, is well worth it. Im careful to not tug on the snaps for fear of the material ripping but it actually does cut the wind and stay rainproof under some very less than ideal circumstances but you also get the look of "business casual" and you look great while being practical as long as you don't want a super warm/thick coat. I love it and will probably buy a second one just for another color.
