Had high hopes for this as it appears to be well made. However, there are several problems. A few positives first: The metal bracket is a nice piece and looks like it was factory installed. The phone holder is also solid and the spring seems to be holding the phone pretty well. Now for the bad: 1) The included bracket mounting screws are the same length as the factory screws, but should be 1-2mm longer. I had to find slightly longer screws that would work. 2) The clamp that screws onto the ball to tighten the phone mount is not tight enough to hold the phone in place. He will lean and not stand up straight. I ended up stuffing a small piece of fabric around the ball for a snugger fit. Now it holds the phone in place but should have done so straight away. 3) If your phone/case is thick, it will slip out of the holder. My phone is stuck in a battery compartment and is too thick. It just slides out of the mount. Even if it's 3x the price, I'd love to get the CravenSpeed Gemini phone mount instead.
