Review on Reduce Colic With MAM Easy Start Matte Anti-Colic Baby Bottles (2 Count) - Medium Flow Nipples, Unisex Design - 9 Oz Size by Amber Perry

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not horrible best in my review

These I used for my now 18 month old. This was the first time I deviated predominately away from Avent for my infants. The design for self-sterilization is genius.Literally genius. The issue I had, after months of use? Getting the white rubber seal at the bottom to not have a "smell”. It always smelled no matter what myself or my husband did. They worked, I didn’t notice any real decrease in gas, because we still bought the gas drops, and all that.As far as compatibility with breastfeeding? I can’t attest to that because I didn’t nurse the youngest. I can see why they’d claim this would not cause nipple confusion, but, to be fair, I can actually see how it could cause a latch issue as I had 4 other children who were breastfed. If you’re nursing? I’d implore you to ensure you or whoever is giving baby a bottle to make baby open wide for the bottle teat, otherwise, to me? You’d be encouraging a lazy latch. (And that crap hurts)It’s a nice bottle, easy to clean, it’s not cheap, but not horrible either. Still plastic. And screwing it all together in the middle of the night can be a PITA.

Pros
  • ANTI-COLIC - Our vented base design releases liquid slowly, reducing colic symptoms in 80%* of babies by eliminating bubbles that cause gas and aggravate colic & reflux symptoms.
Cons
  • The bottles may be too heavy for some parents to hold for extended periods
