Really bright for $. I used it in a new 4g shrimp tank with a bolbitis cutout from my other set up tank. It grew like crazy, just like it did under the much more intense light in the original tank. I waited a while (a few months) to check if the light was working. I will buy it again when I want a brighter light cutting through the amber water (because of the tannins in the water). I might even try this with a 10g breeding/quarantine tank on one end and no light on the other so the animals can have bright light or be in the shade.
