Very satisfied! We ordered 6 in worn bronze to fill our front windows for the holidays. We were concerned that some reviews complained about how dark they were. We were pleasantly surprised and don't feel like they're lackluster at all. We felt they put out a significant light considering they are battery operated. I'm not sure if the brand of battery matters, but I bought a Duracell Pro. I'm not sure if the Dollar brand batteries work the same way or not. Regardless of the brand used, however, no battery powered candle can ever duplicate the light output of plug-in electric candles. So if that's what you're looking for, you shouldn't get it. But if you're looking for a simple, beautiful alternative that eliminates the hassle of cords hanging from all your windows, I think these are for you. (although you might like the warmer look with orange flames, this company sells them too!). And the best feature of all. They turn on/off automatically at dusk and dawn. That means you don't have to think about going twice a day to turn them on and off. What a joy! But it also means that if you keep them in a dark place all day, they might not work on their own. You can also customize their appearance by setting them to: On. Flicker or On Steady. At the moment the batteries last more than 3 weeks. I think if the batteries last 4-6 weeks over the holidays they've done their job and the candles are effective enough for me. I highly recommend them for what they are.
