My son wears leg braces and finding the right shoes was a nightmare. I've tried plus sizes, wide sizes, extra wide sizes, Velcro shoes, and a tie. I've tried many brands. Aside from the braces, my son's ankle and foot mobility is very limited. The daily struggle to put on suspenders and shoes was ridiculous. I had resigned myself to trying on ugly $150 shoes recommended by a braces specialist until my son's PDN nurse mentioned the shoes. They are amazing! Now I can quickly put his shoes on, nothing more! The soles are not attached to the shoe so they can be removed to make room for braces, or can be easily swapped out to wear shoes without braces. Although there are limited styles, I love the variety of colors to choose from. And they won't make my son look any different as he already loves some of the specialized shoes. They're about as expensive as any brand name shoes I've tried and a lot cheaper than specialty shoes. And the story of the shoemaker is touching. and much cheaper than special shoes.
