I bought this for my DELL 7609WU. However, when I put the batteries in, the remote control didn't work. It looks like they made the positive connection of the battery using the coil spring connection that is normally used for the negative side. But the spring on both battery compartments (he has two) was so flat they didn't touch. I had to pry the coil out with pliers and a paperclip on both battery slots to get it to make contact. So I wouldn't recommend this if you don't mind fixing the item you just bought.
