I am very happy with my purchase! We used a regular power strip with a surge protector, but I had to keep unplugging other devices to make room for what I was using. I LOVE this expansion! A lot of my plugs are really wide. I can plug in all my wide plugs without blocking other outlets! And I can still connect all my chargers at the same time! We have a lamp, white noise generator, humidifier, two cordless phone chargers, and chargers for tablets and other devices connected to our tower. I love that each row has a power switch to easily turn off a smaller set of electronics (rather than all or nothing), and the cord length was perfect for getting to an outlet behind our shelf. You can rotate the tower 360 degrees to tilt the cable if it's too long. I was worried the tower would wobble from the weight of the forks, but it's very strong and stable! I highly recommend this tower if you have a lot of things to connect.
