Soft plastic easily cuts with skate blades when tightened. The groove that the skate blade sits in easily fills with dirt, which scratches the blade. The skates are easy to lift and remove when the wheels hit uneven ground. My friend noticed that these roller skates are not suitable for hockey skates. I had to cut off the extra security so my daughter wouldn't cross the security from behind. Great idea and pretty hard work. The wheels are decent. It is recommended to use on a smooth surface, otherwise the skates will easily pop out and you will have to make frequent trips to sharpen the blades after hitting the pavement.
