I spent 6 months looking for good antennas to cut the cable, finally bit the bullet and made it. I originally went for the top 4max for around $130 and then figured why not try it at 80% off. In the worst case, can I send it back? Assembly took about 10 minutes, then I found a 1" PVC pipe to clamp to my garage rafters for a quick test and hooked it up to the existing wiring runs. worked crystal clear!, about 51 channels, my TV towers are about 40 miles away, for some channels I just press the remote to move it around a bit. It stays in the rafters of the garage! . Why move it outside, which will only cost me more, and I'll worry about a lightning strike in Florida. Note 3: The installation instructions for the deflectors (top and bottom) are not that good. There are two moving parts on the main unit, put them together (i.e. press them together with your fingers), lift the deflector and then push them apart one by one to lock the deflector in place. Antenna that saves $1,000 a year on cable TV bills.
