Review on 🔦 Tendelux 80ft IR Illuminator: Enhancing Security Camera Performance with AI4 No Hot Spot Wide Angle Infrared Light (w/Power Adapter) by Christy Jones

I purchased this IR illuminator to improve/improve the night vision of my Ring Spotlight Cam and my Ring Video Doorbell. The Ring series cameras have pretty decent IR night vision capabilities, but I wanted to add something that would increase the field of view at night and improve the video resolution at night. This device ticks all the boxes and does exactly what it says on the tin. Once I installed this device above our garage next to our porch, I opened up the Ring app to take a look and was pleasantly surprised at how much better the night vision image was on my two Ring video devices. This IR illuminator is mounted about 6 feet in front of my Ring Doorbell camera and about 10 feet off the ground. It faces our driveway so I can see someone approaching the house at night. The Ring Video Doorbell camera's night vision is much better now and I can see almost to the end of the driveway where previously I could only see to the end of the porch. You can see the IR light coming from the lights in the top left corner of the photo, pointing down into the driveway. All of the "light" you see in the driveway photo comes from the IR illuminator. I installed my other Ring camera, the Ring Spotlight Cam, about 10 feet off the ground and to the far left of our porch. View of the front yard and our driveway. With the addition of an IR Illuminator, I can now see the entire driveway perfectly with this camera, whereas previously I was able to see very little, if any, of the driveway. If you have ring line cameras, spotlights, headlights, etc., an IR illuminator MUST be purchased and costs $22 plus tax and free shipping. You definitely need to buy a DC power cord extension. I think if you set it to 10ft or higher you will be happy with the results.
