My son has just turned 7 years old. Height 4 feet 4 inches, weight 63 pounds. Athletic build. Shoe size 6.5 (huge feet lol). The width of the belt can be easily adjusted with a buckle (I have no idea what it's actually called). And it also has belt holes for adjustment. The strap is basically a strong, elastic double strap for easy adjustment, but the front has a shinier leather look. Socks were a nice addition, but they are worn above the knees. He didn't wear socks because it was too hot under the baseball pants. But the socks are thick and soft. We ordered black/small. Great for $14. Should be able to fit through jeans loops but I haven't checked the sizes of my son's other pants for a change. Just measure your pant loops. Youth belt width 1.25 inches, adult 1.5.
