Installation was easy, all required hardware is included. I used an optical cable as my TV has a PCM audio jack. Plugged it in, connected the optical cable to the soundbar, selected the source on the remote and turned it on and it worked right away. So this little rod replaced my 34 inch rod which failed after five years. I was spoiled as the bass response was fantastic. I certainly didn't expect this bar to be able to compete with him on the low end. Okay, it's not, but for its size, it does a very good job. I was surprised. Cost vs Bang per dollar is good. You can't go wrong with this. I play several instruments including bass and have a small practice amp next to the TV. I'll update this after I hook up the amp to the soundbar's "AUX" jack and see how it works. There is a lot of energy in this small bar - it fills the space of living room, dining room and kitchen and leaves a headroom. UPDATE I connected the bass amp with the 3.5mm audio cable that came with the soundbar and used the adapter to convert to a1 format. 4" bass amp plug. The soundbar blew its pants off the amp. It delivered more bass response as expected, but the subwoofer better matches the soundbar's extended bass curve. So that would be the best way to go. The soundbar itself does a very good job though.
