The quality is higher than expected but not ideal for the iPhone.

I've spent the same amount on smaller tripods several times. It's perfect for travel or parties because it's very light and I won't get too upset if it gets lost or broken. It weighs 578g (1.27lb) and although not advertised, comes with a case. It's made from nylon with a drawstring cord sewn to the bottom so it can be worn over the shoulder. It's not great, but it is the case. Another thing missing from the product page was a built in tiny porthole bubble level. It has all the settings you would expect from a good tripod. The head has a standard (and removable) ยผ-20 screw and tilts in all directions. Panning is smooth and inexpensive for a tripod. Joints and all parts except the legs are made of plastic, but everything seems to be that way these days. As long as it lasts, I'm fine. Locking leg clips are the type that you lift to unlock and push down to lock. So when setting up the tripod on a ladder or uneven ground, you can adjust one or more of the legs to the correct length to keep the tripod in a stable upright position. As my hands got older, I preferred this style to the twist-to-lock style. Once opened, the three legs at the bottom of the first segment connect to form a very strong tripod. There are rubber feet on the bottom of each leg. It holds 4.4 pounds, which is more than a typical DSLR with a 200mm lens. Most people will probably want to use it with their phone, and you get a flexible neck phone/tablet mount to handle it. The rubber covers both spring-loaded grips and securely holds my phone and iPad. The gooseneck is easily adjustable and stays where you put it, even when an iPad is attached to it. The bracket doesn't get small enough to hold the phone by the sides, so you have to clamp it for a long time. But the main lens (on my iPhone 12 Pro) is covered by the mount, so you have to move it to the side to allow part of the phone to dangle. Of course, the front selfie lens doesn't have this problem, and even extended ยฝ inch it still holds up well. But it's not quite perfect. They say you can pull the mount out of your legs and use it as a "selfie stick". but can you The up-down stand that holds the camera has grooves on either side that engage two lugs that prevent the shaft from twisting. There is a rubber cap at the end to prevent this stock from accidentally falling out during adjustment, which is good. However, you have to remove this to use it as a selfie stick. I would just keep a closed tripod while taking selfies. In this price range, the tripod is phenomenal. I got one star for an unfortunate accessory, but I seriously doubt I can find another tripod that's as good at this price point. If or when that fails I'll let you know. Hope that helps.
