Perfect length, drawstring sits right at waist and covers entire back... you can actually sit in these shorts... most I have tried before you have too much fabric in the front and not enough in the back, and when your flat in the back doesn't work. They won't make you look awkward or have weird thigh slits. The integrated liner is also the right size! Others I've ordered have an oddly shaped lining that cuts you in completely. I ordered navy blue with ties and I'm 5ft 1in and they hit my knee, with ties they could be a little longer or shorter. Perfect...I haven't worn them long enough to see the fading but they can fade and I don't care how well they fit.
