We bought three. We placed one under the "top" kitchen cabinet so it would illuminate the drain panel below, and we installed the other two in our bedroom cabinets under the top shelves that illuminate the clothes hanging on the rods below. We leave the kitchen unit plugged into an outlet on the wall and use it as a 'backup' lamp for the other two when one or both need charging. Since they turn on and off with or without movement, they last a long time between charges without using a lot of battery power.
