Ok these lights are freaking cool but there are some things they can do better and some things you should know - why? because the instructions are just fur. Firstly, the packaging says it contains 3 rolls of LEDs. Mines came in one. You can split them up and add the extra ports they provided. Don't plug them in right away. Unfold the strip and plug the USB into the TV. This way you can see where to place the light strips for the best effect. This is important because it will make a difference. The instructions for my 46 inch TV say to pack it, but I actually placed mines on the sides of my TV. They're not that inconspicuous, but you can only see them if you get really close to the sides. This gave my TV the best lighting since my TV is mounted quite high. I can't stress this enough because if I placed the strips like the instructions say I would have thought they weren't bright. Everyone's relationship between the TV and the wall is different. This may be common sense, but also place the TV in a dark room or in dim lighting. The upper part of the morning doesn't give you the true impact of what it might look like and as such you may want to place the strips too far back or too high on the TV depending on how your wall faces the TV. Once you've decided where, add one connector at a time, leaving the end strand without a connector. I also left the lights on (don't know if that's safe) to make sure all the lights were on properly. I'm glad I did as one of the power strips failed and was affecting the light output. The first stripe is pink, the rest of the stripes are blue. If you put the glue first, you have to peel it off and risk the stickiness to stick it properly. It's doable, but not worth the effort. The brightness control on the remote control is important. So I bought this because I wanted pink light - and only pink light. At full brightness, I couldn't see any different colors. I thought it was defective because even the pink color looked blue (which is logical given the color spectrum etc.). So make sure you turn the brightness down as much as possible when you turn on the remote so you can see all the colors. Now it's time to remove the glue! My glue was damn good. The USB part also has an adhesive part. Make sure you place the USB and the glue so they can be easily pulled out without fumbling with the adhesion (this will make sense later). BRIGHT. There is no "dimming function". What I mean is that while you can control the brightness, you can't control the volume of the light. By adjusting the brightness, you are adjusting the lightness of the color (ie dark pink to pink to light pink), not the strength/intensity of the light. Thought I could adjust the strength for nights when I don't necessarily want to feel the vibration, but no. Small downside, but I have an LED-lit diffuser, so that doesn't necessarily bother me, but it might bother others. It also costs $14 (at the time of writing this review), so I can't ask for more. Here's what I don't like. There isn't technically an "off" position for the lights when your TV is on. If you turn off "Power off" on the remote control, the indicators will be red. Only when you turn off the TV (or the power supply) does the light turn off completely. You can also remove the USB cable to turn off the lights while the TV stays on. Because of this, it is important to position the adhesive part of the USB cable so that it can be easily removed without damaging the adhesive. That's honestly not much, but should be taken into account when installing to ensure the USB location is easily accessible and/or the lights are properly placed for 24/7 display. In general the product is excellent. The price is great for what you get, even in an "off" situation. The quality is also excellent. The color variations are great too. A few reviewers stated that the white color isn't white but rather blue, and that's true. I would buy another one as a souvenir, I love them so much. It's certainly an atmosphere that will lift the spirits of any room and contemplation.
