This is my favorite backpack so far. main inner compartment. This is great because the smaller one is perfect for my iPad and the larger one is perfect for storing my laptop. (For the record: I have a Toshiba laptop, so it's not particularly thin and it still fits.) There's also a Velcro strap that runs over the electronics pocket for a little extra security. * Durable fabric. I usually buy Jansport backpacks because they've proven themselves to be durable, and this purchase was no exception.* Multiple zipped pockets on the front* They appear to be quite weather resistant. I walked around New York in the rain for an hour and a half and nothing got wet inside, although the outer fabric was quite damp. Not sure if the backpack is waterproof, but it held up well in an unexpected downpour. I would definitely recommend this purchase if you are looking for a quality backpack with electronics storage and free space.
