Review on MEE Audio EDM Universe D1P In-Ear Headphones With Headset Functionality (Love/Pink) by Justin Hill

When I bought my first pair almost 4 years ago I was very impressed with the durability and sound quality. Since then I have bought 3 more pairs and all have not satisfied me. Simply put, the quality of the product has dropped dramatically. I've had one earbud fail out of a pair, broken wires going into the earbud, a faulty volume knob, a non-working mic, and more. My fourth pair avoids these issues, but the sound quality is noticeably worse than my first pair. With some devices, the volume just can't be loud enough. After testing various headphones and devices, I came to the conclusion that the problem lies with the MEE headphones. Second, the bass is sorely lacking. Almost all sounds are medium and high frequencies. This is an uncomfortable problem for headphones that are supposedly made for listening to dance music, which tends to be bass-heavy. Third, what kind of sound comes from sounds that are deaf and distant. Not exactly like underwater, but more like a thin wall or heavy curtain along the way. I use headphones with my phone, tablet, computer and TV. None of my other brands of headphones have this issue when using all of these devices. I also don't face the problem of using speakers with these devices. So it's not the equipment. The MEE EDM universe is to blame for everything. Don't let the price fool you. My first pair - a **good** pair - was about $20 at Revain. My second pair was $13 at Revain. My fourth pair was $8 at Revain. trend noticed? There must be a reason for this. What happens if you lower your price but still don't sell enough to meet your sales goals? They start sacrificing quality to save on production costs! Don't waste your money. They used to be good, but that time is long gone.
