SmallRig has never ceased to amaze me with its ingenuity and creativity. I honestly never thought I would need this versatile phone cage, but here it is and I'm definitely a fan of it. The packaging looks cheap, but the product itself isn't. The cage is very well made and the fact that it is made of aluminum makes it slim and easy to carry. I have my own creative business and I'm always looking for new ways to simplify my video production process without spending a lot of money. . Smartphone cameras have become so powerful over the past few years that I only use my phone for a lot of my low-budget shoots and for clients who don't necessarily have the time or budget for a "cinematic" setup. The only thing that has prevented me from using it more is the inability to find a good way to mount my external devices (e.g. pistol mic, LEDs, etc.) on my fingers. EVERYTHING IS SOLVED It seems like you are only limited by other SmallRig accessories you have. With the flat NATO rails and my grip I was able to do the setup shown in the pictures. This is great for getting smooth, low-angle shots without having to hold the phone with two hands and strain your back when bending over. It also holds your phone very well, even when shaken heavily, it stays in place. I just wish they could somehow figure out a way to include NATO rails so I don't have to attach my own, but that's a slight minus too many. He has PRO.
