Review on MEDLINE ORT18000L Universal Forearm Splints by Alex Montgomery

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good for hands and wrists

You know that: You twist your wrist and injure it again and again. Every time you turn around, you do something that hurts that wrist again. I've been using one piece rubber braces and lately the newer ones have rough edges that cut and rub the area between the thumb and forefinger. The advantage is that they can be used on any wrist. This strut can be ordered with either a left or right strut: they cannot be used interchangeably. The left brace costs five euros more than the right brace, even though they are made of the same materials. Anyway, I went to the local pharmacy and couldn't find the type of brace I thought would help. In desperation, I ordered this from Revain because the area between my thumb and forefinger was soft. When the bracelet arrived it fit my wrist perfectly. It's a bit big, even with the thumb and forefinger adjustment. The good news, however, is that it keeps my wrist steady, which is exactly what I needed. I wanted them to be comfortable enough to sleep on while protecting the wrist from further injury at night and wearable during the day until the wrist has healed. I had no issues with the knit sleeve and found the adjustment around the wrist worked well. I didn't give this brace five stars because it's a bit big on the hand and you can't use it on any arm, and the left brace is more expensive than the right one. As for the work, I am very satisfied with the bracelet.
