love these bags! First of all, the thickness seems to be right. The bags appear to be thicker than ziplock freezer bags which are typically 3 mil thick. These bags feel thicker than Ziploc freezer bags and also feel thicker than 0.08mm (approximately 3 mil) thick Daiso bags. The packages are slightly larger than promised. They are 9" wide and 12.25" tall under the zipper. The overall height is 13 and 1/8 inches. The bags hold almost 1 gallon - for reference, a Ziploc freezer bag measures 10 9/16 inches x 10 3/4 inches. So the storage area of this bag is 3% less than 1 gallon. The zippers hold tight and the bag isn't breathable (so should indicate waterproofing). I tested it by blowing air into the bag, zipping it up and then pressing it down with both hands - no air came out. The best part is the aspect ratio, and that's what attracted me to this particular theme. It holds 8.5" x 11" sheets of paper without wrinkles. Sometimes I travel with paper or carry around paper that needs to stay organized or I don't want it to rub off and these bags are great for that purpose. This is a much cheaper option than buying the 2 gallon or 2.5 gallon bags I've made in the past. The pouches appear clean and claim to be food safe, although I haven't tested this particular use case.
