Review on πŸ“· Fotodiox Lens Mount Adapter: Nikon Nikkor F Mount D/SLR Lens to Micro Four Thirds (MFT, M4/3) Mount Mirrorless Camera Body - Enhance Compatibility and Expand Your Photography Possibilities by Joe Griggs

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works as expected.

I have both this Nikon F mount adapter and the Canon FD equivalent. Of course. You can spend a lot more money on an adapter that is a lot better than this one. And yes, if you're mounting a lens that costs over $1,000 or weighs over a few ounces (or both), I highly recommend spending the extra cash on something with impeccable fit and finish and plenty of gain on the mount. I bought these Fotodiox adapters for only $185 to attach my inexpensive Primes to my camera. If I were going to get serious, I wouldn't buy an MFT case at all. So my expectations were low and both Fotodiox adapters lived up to them. That being said, I have to give this (and the FD version via proxy) 4 stars out of 5 for a small design flaw. Both adapters allow the lens to focus beyond infinity. Luckily, if you find it annoying enough, this can be fixed without much difficulty. http://www.amazon.com/review/R2KWNX9ODAR3J1/ref=cm_cr_pr_perm?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B003EAVUMK&linkCode=&nodeID=&tag=This Nikon adapter looks a little more robust than the FD version, but it also lacks the FD ring for opening the iris during focusing (i.e. the lens is always closed when mounted), and of course all completely manual (no contacts at all between the lens and the body) - so no G lenses attaching and removing the adapter from the Nikon side is smooth and comfortable (unlike FD which can be a bit fiddly).
