This is a handy tray set; However, the photo in the ad is misleading. Yes, only with the lid off is there room for berries. I was hoping to store raw nuts in mine with a lid to keep them fresh for a few days. But the lids rest on four ceramic bowls. This leaves little space for snacks, especially large ones that don't lie flat enough for the lids to close tightly. I can see this set would be great for condiments and sauces, but that's not what I bought it for.
