I had high hopes for him, I really wanted him to work.

I needed a cover for my sport bike and bought it based on the reviews here. I see that some of them are skewed not to say wrong, but I have another take on this cover and a possible workaround. I'll be a bit critical later, but it's good to have a roof over your head. bike while using this cover. So I buy a used 11grand sportbike and what I don't include is a waterproof rain cover. So I do what most curmudgeons do, head to Walmart for cover. $26 should work. hehe. The next day after work and after 2.5 inches of rain overnight the bike got wet. After hiding this suitcase in a gym bag, I went home. Back home I spent a few minutes looking for particularly waterproof cases at Revain and decided on this one. First class shipping got me this motorcycle cover in 2 days. The first test was a severe thunderstorm that lasted all night here in Kansas. At first it was like adding a parachute to a bike. I made a small cut along the bottom of the curtain about an inch and a half from the seam of this cover around the footrest on either side and added some rubber bands to attach it to the bike. Against the wind it helped, but I still wanted to skydive, took 2 clothespins to dry and pinched the fabric on the pendulum and under the forks. Really helped protect it from the wind. It looked good, keep in mind it's just strong wind and light rain at this point. I figured I didn't even have to keep my fingers crossed. I was working when it began to rain very heavily and flash flood warnings began to sound. Heavy rain. So my shift is coming to an end, I'm glad I found this cheap rain cover, but when I pulled it off there was nothing but dismay. The bike got wet again. Well, isn't that a bit unexpected? So it was a bad cover, or maybe not. Don't get me wrong I would leave it to other bikes that could be in the garage by the garage door. It should work for that. I know it protects against dirt and dust. I had high hopes, it even smelled like water. It is well made, water-repellent, but not designed for heavy downpours in my opinion. The case fitted very well. Lightweight and comes with a backpack. No retail packaging, white/brown packaging only. I had a 96.5" but it came in an oversized holdall. So for even more waterproofing you could take a spray like Scotchgard and spritz it on the outside. Note that Plastidip sprays can work outdoors too. Best regards, take care and thanks for reading.
