I used them for camping. Wanted something inexpensive but strong; something didn't bother me if a few coals set the seat a little on fire. My REI camp chairs are too expensive to expose to this. So we used them to sit by the fire. We have used them as footstools and taken them on camping trips. They don't feel light in a backpack, but when opened they lift you off the ground. The angled handles squeeze your ass uncomfortably and there is nothing but average about me, including the size of my ass. However, they did their job and we found them reliable and "good enough" for the money. They tend to collapse if you move while sitting in them, even lifting one leg of the chair. Easy attachment with a simple two-legged screw-in rod. Please note that there are holes for pens in the legs. Use them on the ground, snow or sand and they won't collapse. The cheap thin tote bag started to wear out after the first day. It doesn't matter. I've got a canvas bag around here somewhere.
