Rosemary Scented Thick Cream

My Romer moisturizer arrived sealed in a plastic bag without its own security seal and the pump cuff unscrewed. Luckily I didn't have the whole packet of lotion. The moisturizer comes in a 1.4 oz solid green/grey plastic bottle. The cream inside is thick enough to defy gravity but absorbs well once rubbed in. A light rosemary note comes to the fore more clearly. One of the highlighted ingredients is rosemary oil, so the flavor makes sense. It also contains hyaluronic acid (the penultimate list of ingredients), green tea, grapeseed oil, jojoba oil, and shea butter. Romer claims they don't use "synthetic flavors." This does not mean that the product does not contain fragrances. While rosemary oil does have some antioxidant properties, I don't think it's great for face care, especially sensitive skin. Rosemary oil is commonly used in skin care as a natural fragrance. Their sales reports claim that rosemary oil "helps control oil production and acne." I haven't seen anything to support this particular claim, other than essential oil advocates supporting its use. As someone with mature sensitive skin, I would not use rosemary oil to prevent or treat acne. But again, that's my opinion. I'm sure others have had life changing experiences using rosemary oil. However, essential oils like rosemary can irritate the skin. I suggest pre-testing this on another small area of the body first. Is this Romer moisturizer worth it? At $39.50 for 1.4 ounces of lotion, not really. It's moisturizing, but so is a 19-ounce fragrance-free CeraVe bath for less than half the price. Romer is just a rather expensive bottle of rosemary-scented cream infused with several skin-friendly oils and moisturizers. The texture is pleasant, the smell unobtrusive. It's just that I don't feel comfortable using it on my face regularly as I have very sensitive skin that reacts to products. And the bottle is too small to justify spending nearly $40 on my body.
