Review on Dorman 924-711 Auto Transmission Shifter Cable for Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth Models by Jason Laney

The shifter was getting harder and harder to move and if I hadn't fixed it it would have broken Cables from both ends, Warning: at Fri Cruiser we have 3 Screws above and one below! I made a small change, the heat protection on the cable is only in one place. I removed the silver foil tape, slid the mastic up and down over the entire exposed area, and wrapped the foil tape back around it to protect the ENTIRE area exposed to the heat. The passage to the interior is a bit finicky, but fairly easy to convert. Everything connected, assembled, works perfectly. It took us both 3 hours for this work. We found only one video on YouTube dedicated to this topic. That's why I'm going into this detail so it will help someone in the future.
