Given the price and description for slow vehicles under 45mph I had doubts. I drive both a USPS suburban route and my own vehicle, so I often drive on freeways that have a 75 mph speed limit. When I received the item, the legs of the base were slightly bent which caused it not to lay flat on a flat surface. I straightened them by hand and then mounted them on the roof of my Honda CR-V. It's not a flat roof, and your feet weren't on a perfectly flat surface. Regardless, I've been hitting over 80mph on extremely windy/gusty days when an 18 wheeler drove past me and didn't move an inch! I even left it on the roof after washing the car! If you're worried about blowing it off at normal freeway speeds. Do not be! I also rode through very heavy rain and didn't see any sign of moisture in the Blitz. My regular operator has a strobe that he paid several hundred dollars for. I don't know how long this will take, but so far I'm a very happy customer. I also really appreciate having a dedicated on/off switch so I can easily turn it on and off as needed without having to cycle. to the strobe pattern I want. I don't know how it could be better.
