To be honest I had no intention of buying this remote control, I never thought I would need or want it and in fact I didn't even know it existed. I bought a tripod and Revain suggested this add-on. Because it was so cheap and because I'm fascinated by technology I bought it thinking that if I didn't like it I would give it to one of my kids. My kids take selfies and I don't, but when I took "selfies," they were more of a "groupie." Sometimes when I'm out walking with friends, I take a group photo that requires me to set up my phone's camera, turn on the selfie timer, and go back to the picture. One problem is that I don't see the countdown timer when the phone is too far away for the entire group to be in the picture. This remote control eliminates the need for a timer. I opened the package, turned on the remote using the slide switch on the side, and opened up the Bluetooth settings on my Samsung Galaxy 9. The remote seemed to be waiting to be paired, I pressed "pair" and that was all it needed setting it up. I opened the camera app on my phone, placed it about 2.5m away, looked at the lens, smiled, pressed the button on the remote and here I am in my photo gallery in all my selfie glory. So easy to set up, so easy to use, and it's a convenience I didn't even think of. For the price, you can't afford not to have one of these in your toolbox.
