I'm tall and nervous about the empire waist but the truth is this is my favorite vintage style dress I've ordered online and I wish it had more options. I wore it and was glad it wasn't too tight - I ordered an extra XL and didn't need the side zip. It sits well on my body and dangles freely in all the right places. The fabric is heavier so it lies properly and flaps in the wind without flying up. It was breathable and cute. I wore it with a sweater that I took off and had to add a red coat and now I'm going to wear it with a red 50s short sleeve sweater because it really showed off the bright colors and empire waist with a cropped sweater on my body more visible. Thinner. I'm 5'8 about 145-150 lbs. Love it.
