I had to replace my oatmeal container after a family member with oily fingers dropped it, smashed the lid and cracked the side of the container. What I really like about this new container is the spout and the included measuring cup/lid. It's really convenient. It also helps that the container isn't so wide that it's difficult to hold and pour with one hand. Again, the extra measuring cup/lid is great as I no longer have to keep a separate measuring cup in the container. However, I'm pretty sure it's not entirely airtight. Close the spout at the top by screwing on a measuring cup. The problem is that it doesn't snap into place. You can twist it too hard and then it will come loose again. I don't think this will be a big problem for me, but if you're trying to store something really perishable, this container might not be for you. It also includes a whisk, but I have several of these and didn't need another one. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and would give this brand a closer look if some nameless chump who didn't even offer to replace the canister decides to ditch another one.
