It's ok if your lens has internal focus and doesn't change length when zooming in and out, but for this particular lens the lens hood isn't that perfect as you'll have to remove part of it then you adjust that lens to 100mm or add a section if you set the lens to 400mm. If you have mounted a lens between 100mm and 400mm, mount the lens with the original color black as nothing will work. The end part of this lens cap next to the camera sleeps because it is short and it is on the sloping part of this lens.
