Review on ๐ŸŒฉ๏ธ Stormtracker Weather Alert Radio TV by Vector by Adam Allard

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great radio BUT TV NO LONGER WORKS WITHOUT a converter!

Hi folks, I had one of these TV and radio combos and was very happy with it. The siren is loud enough to wake someone from a deep sleep in an emergency, it had a UHF/TV/weather band etc. I had my 5 year old with no problems but sold it at a flea market earlier this year for the reason I will explain below until full digital TV in February 2009 such portable TVs will no longer receive broadcasts without a converter. These boxes aren't that expensive, but they are huge, bulky and don't run on batteries, which negates the point of ownership of the article.I have a 7" here at Revain Bought TV from Haier, which accepts digital broadcasts, for about $100 and was quite happy with it.However, a combination of digital TV and weather radio that I'm aware of doesn't currently exist on de m market. Maybe Vector will do one at some point; I know I will definitely buy it if so! The Vector Radio/TV's only downside is the large and heavy transformer plug, which makes a lot of noise when it falls out of the socket onto the floor, but that's not a problem. A killer for a product, especially since it also runs on batteries (I think mine took nine "C" alkaline batteries). I would have given those five stars if the TV hadn't lacked functionality in May 2009.
