Most of the cases you find on Amazon are horizontal. I was looking for a nice little sturdy bag to put in my new leather backpack. The leather backpack I received is handmade and has no sleeve or pocket for a laptop or tablet. So I thought it would be better to take a suitcase that you can just put in the backpack. I didn't like the horizontal ones because I want to use them like a regular case to take my iPad Air (4th gen) with me on the go. I really like how strong it seems. The front pocket has a Velcro closure, but it's handy to store an Apple Pen in. It has enough space for a charger - although I would advise against it as it spoils the "sleek" look of the case. But you can if you want. Over time this will change the shape of the case because I don't think a case is meant for anything bulkier than a pen. You can put the cable there – but the charging adapter itself is too bulky for that. Don't get me wrong, it will fit - it just looks ugly in my opinion.
