Plastic cards have extra pieces of plastic in some places that need to be trimmed to either fit the takeup or to hold all the filament. The winder doesn't hook well and doesn't rotate easily, making it unusable. I used to have the same thing and thought it would work the same way, but unfortunately it barely works.
