I tried them out and expected a pretty standard sound, but I was ready to be surprised. After all, I tried some Jabras a few years ago, thinking they worked well with my phone/voice and wasn't expecting much. I was very surprised and impressed. Actually I just bought my 3rd or 4th set. I've tried various wireless audio solutions in my glass studio where I can't be tied to a cable. I also don't want to risk ruining $500 headphones, so I've reconsidered the low end of brands whose headphones or in-ears I like and many others. The sound on them is pretty generic but clean. Best thing I have to say is that they are smaller and more comfortable than average BUT the volume is so low I had to crank the FIIO to 120 just to hear them. I usually have 50-60. I've never gone over 90 and didn't really know I could get this high until I just had to hear it! It also drains the battery incredibly quickly, just like cranking up the volume. They connect to my FIIO, which Bose can't, so I'll give them that, but that's the only benefit they have, other than being lighter/more convenient. The sound is comparable to FM radio. The only thing that distinguishes them from $ 15-25 headphones is the absence of static noise, extraneous noise. This is not a balanced sound. It is very heavy in triple size. Is there a market for radio frequencies? I don't like extra bass headphones, but that's already too much. Anyone who loves bass will hate it. Noise-cancellation is minimal, one of the worst noise-cancelling I've tried. They also featured what I consider to be the 'worst' headphones. At least 6 functions are encoded on the tiny touchpads. Touch once, twice, or three times, touch and hold for 1 second, 2, or 2 seconds. You are less free hands than fingers in your ears. How stylish! Personally, I can't think of 6 hold or touch patterns for any headset. It's so easy to accidentally mute a call while I'm trying to turn the sound on or off, for example, that I really hate having more than 4 functions on touchpads. Apple users can use the app to find lost headphones using the app. Some might like them as special in-ear headphones for cell phones. I haven't tried voice yet. That said, I didn't call anyone just to check the quality of the voice transmission because I'm sure I'll never wear it again. I have at least half a dozen better sets. I started calling the sound general, but without the background noise. It could be 3 or 4 stars but there are a number of things that tipped it down and for this price you can get VERY good in ear headphones. You can pick up the Jabra 45s for half the price, or even their flagship 65t for around the same price. 65t blows them out of the water. In fact, in this price range, it's hard to find much worse. Pros: Small and light, more comfortable than average No static, fluffiness, background noise Connects to a source other than your phone Cons: Very, very low volume Consumes your source's battery. Sounds mediocre and is approaching a high level. The noise cancellation is barely noticeable. Half a dozen commands on tiny touchpads. It's very easy to get confused or touch too long or too short and end up with something you didn't plan. Battery Life? a long time after turning off your source (about 1 hour) if you have other people on hand and test them to the max compare that to 80 hours Jabra. All I can say is that they might deliver the 8 hours of use that the company claims. The sound is much better available in this price range. Half the price for the best sound. To be honest I don't recommend them even though they can be worn.
