Review on Wireless Earbuds for TV - Avantree HT380 by Daniel Warren

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best wireless headphone system for fixed sound sources, especially for people with hearing impairments.

I have an 80% hearing loss in one ear compared to the other and have tried several Bluetooth headphones to restore stereo sound for music and video. This system is the best I have ever seen. The main reason is probably that this is NOT Bluetooth, but a special one-way wireless radio frequency (Wi-Fi) connection. I know this because the transmitter and receiver don't pair with any Bluetooth audio device, have much better volume and fidelity than the best (Samsung) Bluetooth headphones, have no video-to-audio latency, and stay connected for at least four hours with no signal loss . Walls of the house at a distance of 50 feet. Best of all, the receiver has a good balance control that gives me the same stereo hi-fi with more than enough volume. The transmitter has three pre-defined audio "modes" in addition to flat, but I would have preferred a treble/bass control instead. The included headphones look cheap and small but are surprisingly very good and in my opinion the most comfortable I've tried, although you can just plug in your own headset. My only complaint is that the headphone cords are too short, but extending them solves that problem. Not only does it come with an extra battery, but the transmitter/charger has a separate charging port in addition to the charging port on the receiver. The battery is branded, so you can only exchange it at the seller, perhaps the only real minus. They supply adapters for almost every audio connection imaginable and even a microphone for older TVs that don't have an external jack. Finally, there is a large button on the receiver that turns the headphones into actually very good two-ear hearing aids, albeit only in mono. In the ad, the elderly wear a neck cord that looks like an antenna, but I just roll it up and put the receiver in my pocket. This system is worth the money.
