I have some dark spots on my face that I wanted to lighten. I first visited a dermatologist to rule out any medical issues and asked if the doctor could lighten the skin with a laser. The doctor refused the laser because the patches are too close to my eyes for the laser to safely hit. Obviously the reflected beam could damage the eye. The doctor suggested local treatment. I just read the review and decided to try Alpha Skin Care Dual Action Skin Lightener first. I am happy. As promised, my dark spots near the outer corners of my eyes (which gave me a dull, sad look) disappeared after about 2 weeks of twice-daily use. I also have a dark line down the front of my chin and I wanted to hide it as well. It looks like a bandage. The area around my chin seemed a little less lit, but it was brighter than it was (perhaps due to the constant sun exposure). No peeling of the skin, no dryness, no irritation, no rashes, no unpleasant odor - if so, then a light aroma. I will definitely buy more when the tube is empty.
