Very hard and one bag is unusable.
I liked the look and bought this because I needed a slimmer wallet that wouldn't take up as much room in my purse. It's definitely not soft leather, it's very stiff and there's a section where nothing fits so it can't be used. I'm still trying to get used to it, but I'm already thinking about going back to my old one.
