Pros: - high quality material, well tailored, overall well finished set - looks expensive - warm and cozy - two of the same items go well with other clothes - a little big which (with kids) is much better, to wear as small clothes. Conformity/style/fabric design seems a bit bloated and disappointing - pajama price high but quality more in line with boutique/high end brands - hand wash only? - Some children may need to unbutton the button at the back of the neck for the top to fit. I honestly expected these to be cheap, thin, somewhat disappointing pajamas, but was pleasantly surprised at the quality. They actually arrived just as I was about to put my daughter in the bath, so I ripped open the package and tossed them to her as she got out. The first thing that struck me was that they were soft, very thick and sewn up pretty well. The fabric appears to be of good quality. The second thing I noticed was that they were huge. My daughter is 9.5 months old, she is small but this outfit completely absorbed her. Although honestly I don't care. Better too big than too small! I just took it off the next morning and planned to hide it with her 12 month old clothes and try again. That's when I noticed the third thing: Is it hand wash only? Look, I'm sure there are moms out there who have the time to hand wash their kids' pajamas, but this mom isn't one of them. If it could be done quicker than a shower, I'd put myself in the washing machine if I could. These pajamas just need a wash with the rest and I'll let you know if they don't mend. However, I expect the pieces to shrink to the right size, and maybe that's why they're so big? I would also like to add that when we received these pajamas we were through a cold front and the night turned out to be very cold. When I woke up at 4 to check on the baby, she was warm and cozy. These pajamas are really nice and thick. Although the overall quality of the set is well above standard, the style and design left a lot to be desired for me. I didn't think it was trendy or cutting edge, but it wasn't particularly classy either. The top is a little baggy and the cuffs are tapered as befits jogging pants, but not at all tight at the ankles. Even with possible laundry shrinkage, I'm not sure it will improve. My 9.5 month old baby's head barely fit on it and didn't have to be opened. With an older child, or if they are shrinking at all, you will definitely need to open the top to fit over your child's head and then close it to close. When a child is old enough to be squishy, it becomes much easier for me to stick to pajamas that don't have zips/buttons/zips, just tops and bottoms with stretch. Overall I gave this pajama set 4 stars because they weren't a deal breaker for me and I don't think they would be for many others - and they definitely deserve more than 3 stars. For the price they are boutique quality pajamas and I think they are priced accordingly. If you pack them in a nice box with a gorgeous doily, pretty paper and a pretty bow, I'm sure the recipient will think it's an expensive pajama set from a fancy downtown store.
