Review on 🌊 SOONSUN 45m Underwater Waterproof Dive Housing Case: Dive Filters for GoPro Hero 5 6 7 Black & Hero (2018) by Ronnie Segobiano

Considering the price of the original Gopro dive case this is a good product. He's not perfect. Mine came with some excess glue on the lens at the bottom inside where the lens connects to the lens mount. You can't see that in the video, so it doesn't matter. I've tried cleaning it with multiple products but it won't come off. The back door also had some scratches on the inside. Again, no big deal. Overall QC could be better. These two things were immediately visible and should not have been sent like this. I'll upload photos when I get a chance. Overall, the case feels solid and well built (apart from the aforementioned). The snapping mechanism doesn't feel as bulletproof as the Gopro's, but if you're at least a little careful with it, you can expect it to last. There were 3 fog inserts in the kit which was a nice bonus. The lens cap is a good thing. I wish it was a little tighter, but that's ok. Not sure how waterproof it is yet, but it does the job. One thing that's a bit annoying is that the mounting tabs on the bottom seem to be a bit wider than other gopro stuff I own. It takes very little effort to pair up with mounts and you have to work hard. Much more than we would like. I have been using Gopro mounts for many years. I have never seen anything so complicated to install. In case anyone is wondering, this dive case works with the Soonsun Floaty Backdoor Kit, also sold at Revain. This ad is a bit misleading as it states that it only works with the original Gopro housing and not third party housings. So it's a third party thing. In any case, it works perfectly in this case. The back door turned out to be in better shape than this back door, so I attach a float to the frayed back door that came with this item and leave the other without a float. I would buy this item again and can recommend it as good. An alternative to the expensive original Gopro case. The quality is not that good, but acceptable. I'm deducting one star because of too much glue on the lens, abrasion on the back door and too wide mounting tabs. Considering the price, this is good value for money.
