Short version of review: I wrote a longer review below but the summary is this: This is a wonderful product with instant results that I found for shower water in Southern California. Also, the price was great compared to the competition at the time and the customer service from Cali Tropical Rain was excellent! PSMESH SIDE UP for this product during installation. Longer Review: A few years ago I bought a regular shower filter that came with a 5 stage cartridge and forgot to replace it. While searching I found Cali Tropical Rain and because of the good price I decided to take a chance despite the few reviews. At the moment I don't have any cons with this product, but here are my pros: - Cali Tropical's filter cartridge fits perfectly with my regular filter - Noticeable instant results from my very first shower on my hair and skin. I used the same skin care products (shampoo/face gel/body gel) that I used before the filter change. ***My greatest benefit was the outstanding customer service from Walter Keene, CEO of Cali Tropical Rain. researched which direction the filter should go, and three other competitors all said otherwise. One said "webpage" up, another said "big hole" up, and a third said "it doesn't matter anyway". Walters' response to the Cali Tropical Rain filter cartridge was, "The mesh side of the shower filter cartridge is designed for water intake and is recommended. The mesh is slightly deepened, serving to capture larger particles. The inlet is fine mesh, distributing the water over a more even surface of the filter media. In the opposite direction the water flow is less distributed and possibly less efficient.” Thanks again Walter for the quick response and for a wonderful product. I will definitely be buying from you all again!
