It's a good display for what I bought it for, which is coding. I feel like that's why it's popular and I can understand why. I couldn't imagine gaming or using it for a colorful design. There are some noticeable bright spots on the panel itself, which become mottled areas for me in the lower right corner. My refurbished unit also had tape marks on the screen and significant scratches on the base, despite being advertised as "like new". Good display but your mileage may vary.
