Review on πŸ“· Professional-grade ViewSonic VP2468 Monitor for Photography with Built-In Speakers, Tilt Adjustment, Blue Light Filter, and HDMI by Cody Henry

Good reputation! It's a shame that you can't use the entire display.

The monitor was well packaged. It replaced one of two seven-year-old Viewsonic 24-inch monitors. So I decided it's worth using this minimalist frame design, color accurate version! there was no input on the new monitor. First I tried to use a DVI-DisplayPort adapter (would be a little easier), but the monitor didn't recognize it. This is where the problem started - no matter what driver or settings I used , the image does not fill the screen. The resolution in Windows (Windows 7) is maxed out at 1920 x 1080 and I have almost an inch margin on the sides and half an inch on the top/bottom (see image). This is annoying as the visibility on the old monitor next to it is great - fills the screen. I tried using the display port on my Macbook to see if it could be a Windows 7 or graphics card issue. but it doesn't even recognize my MacBook. Tried turning on/off support for DiplayPort 1.2. Nothing.

Pros
  • monitors
Cons
  • Limited ergonomic properties
