I've been looking for an actually rain coat, not one that starts to soak up the water after a couple minutes. This one is perfect. I bought the black as it had drawstrings to make it look less boxy. I ended up returning the one I purchased in med as I wanted to be able to wear a sweater under this. So large is perfect to fit a bulky sweater under but isn't too baggy. It does run true to size. As you can see from the picture it does repel the water well. Now I haven't worn it in a downpour, just a usual light rain.
