After more than 200 hours of use I can say that this is a definite improvement over the original Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter, albeit not perfect. Pros: No more blocky images or constant updating when using this as an extended desktop. MUCH smoother frame rates than the original adapter. It can now be used as a great wireless monitor solution for most web browsing content, presentations or image slideshows, and 24fps movie content (more on that below). as close as possible to a basic wireless 4k HDMI solution for under $400 right now. I bought another one and dedicated it to my projector upscaler. 9 and other devices, so when watching 30p content (like YouTube) a frame is dropped every few seconds, which while not terribly noticeable to me. However, watching standard 24p movies works VERY well, with very little frame drop on full-length movies. Other thoughts: Microsoft, please give us a chance to disable the default audio streaming to the video adapter, which frees up enough bandwidth to get rid of that 0.03fps stuttering for 30fps content.
