Review on Kids Bookcase: Bookshelf for Children, Kids Bookshelves with Reading Nook and Cushion by Diane Glaser

Pros: - Overall this is a very pretty bookshelf - Neutral white color is gender neutral and goes with many - Easy to assemble if you've assembled furniture before (see instructions not clear , see below) - 2 small children could sit on the seat with no stability issues (although it is more comfortable for a child) Bad: - The corners are misaligned, making it an uneven fit. Like a table with one leg shorter than the other. I was able to make it better by placing thick felt pads on 2 opposite corners - There we have some chips, dents and scratches on the surface (see photo) - One of the boards had lacy protrusions. dried paint. - The upper part of the upper left shelf does not fit (see picture). This is the last element to be inserted and all the elements below it are aligned and bolted well. So cut too high. - The instructions are not clear. They only show step-by-step photos of the pieces put together, no diagram of which screw is on which side like other furniture guides. There is a link to a video on YouTube, but it's much more convenient to look at the diagram. Mounting Tip: There are metal cylinders that fit into some pre-drilled holes on the plates. The hole in the cylinder must line up with the hole on the other edge of the plate as shown. And the line on the hard side of the cylinder should face outward. Other Notes: - It says the weight limit is 200lbs but it doesn't look like it will hold that much. Maybe they mean the whole device, not just the seat. The pillow and cushion are thin, but my kid doesn't mind. All in all, this is a nice device. It's small, but my kid likes a little space to curl up and read. Some quality control is required for broken parts and things not aligned. Better instructions are also needed.
