These lamps are much better than coral and last longer. We have a professional aquarium with plants and leave them on 12 hours a day or more and our plants are growing well. No algae. We replace ours 3 times a year but these 2 times a year and a fraction of the cost. When I say a planted tank is well planted and has over $1,000 worth of plants. I don't usually leave reviews, but these lights are a GREAT PURCHASE!
